A Better Looking 2048 — the sliding-tile game for iPhone and iPad.
A Better Looking 2048 is the Game Pac take on the sliding-tile game: join matching numbers until you build the target tile. It is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases, and runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. Two looks are built in — the Modern and Circuit themes.
How to play
- Swipe across the board — up, down, left or right. Every tile slides as far as it can, and two equal tiles that meet merge once per move into their sum. One deliberate swipe is one move; a tap or a small drag does nothing.
- After each accepted move a new tile appears — usually a 2, sometimes a 4. Each merge adds its new tile's value to your score.
- With VoiceOver, the board offers named actions: Move up, Move down, Move left and Move right.
Difficulties
- Breezy — 5×5 board, target 2048.
- Classic — 4×4 board, target 2048.
- Expert — 4×4 board, target 4096.
- Pocket — 3×3 board, target 512.
Changing difficulty starts a new game; if your run has progress, the game asks first.
The controls
- Pause sits in the top toolbar and hides the board until you tap Resume, so a paused game stays private. Your saved run also reopens paused.
- New Game is the face in the middle of the score panel; a run in progress asks you to confirm before it is replaced.
- The top toolbar also holds sound, How to Play and Settings. Settings offers difficulty, the Modern and Circuit themes, sound and facts toggles, and your local best scores and career statistics.
- Settings → Reset Statistics clears those records; your current board and your preferences are kept, and starting a New Game lets the next run count toward records again.
